In 2011 their latest work; "Schwartz's - The Musical", inspired by Bill Brownstein's best-selling book about the Montreal Delicatessen, ran for nine sold-out weeks at Montreal's Centaur Theatre.

They appear in theatres and concert halls across Canada, and from 2007 to 2012 they headlined the Canadian Snowbird Extravaganza concert series, both in Canada and the United States, returning again in 2013 / 2014.

They have appeared frequently at the Just for Laughs comedy festival, most recently in the 2008 edition, and they can often be seen on CBC television and the Comedy Channel in shows compiled from those appearances. Their Christmas CTV special "Two Nuts Roasting on an Open Fire" was nominated for a Gemini award.

Silver Creek -
► more
Ottawa based band Silver Creek came together for the first time on a farm in the spring of 2006. After few exciting rehearsals their music is based around a handful of simple songs the band began recording and Silver Creek started to take shape.

The band, born in the studio, made an easy transition to the stage and was blessed with a stroke of luck right from the gun when they played their very first show at the Cisco Systems Bluesfest in July 2006. This show, just a couple of months after their formation was well received, and the boys were grateful to play at the festival the following three years as well, including a 2009 main-stage performance for a crowd of 20,000 strong opening for Canadian vanguards Blue Rodeo.

Since that first summer Silver Creek has been quietly building a strong and faithful fan base, touring across Canada after releasing their debut record "About Time" to a sold out and enthusiastic audience at Barrymore's Music Hall in January 2008. The songs on the record are simple compositions that convey fundamental truths of the human experience. Topics of love, heartache, soulful summertime musings, and the cold foreboding Canadian winter mix with heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies to shape what the Ottawa Citizen called "a solid and rollicking debut."

Tractor Pull & Lawn Tractor Pull

September 13, 2015 from 12pm to 4pm
Track #8
Small & Large Tractors
► more

This is definitely an event where the local farmers cut loose and kick up the dust! This motorsport competition requires tractors to pull a heavy sled with the winner being the tractor that pulls the sled the farthest. Tractors in their respective classes pull a set weight in the sled. As the sled is pulled down the track, the weight is transferred from over the rear axles and towards the front of the sled. As the weight shifts, the resistance builds. The further the tractor pulls the sled, the more difficult it gets. The kids have their version using the same principle but with a garden tractor and a much smaller sled.

Registration for the Tractor Pull and Garden Tractor Pull starts at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 13 at the weigh-in location on the north side of the fairgrounds.

See the website for all the rules for the Lawn Tractor Pull
